At the company’s headquarters in New Jersey, Volvo Cars is expanding its footprint and preparing to sell only electric cars in the future. The new design-build project for SCCG is the Volvo Car Americas Technical and Training Center, and will serve as Volvo’s EV training facility for the entire Western Hemisphere. The building will house multi-vehicle workshop and classrooms where service technicians will learn the latest diagnostic and service techniques for all Volvo cars. It will be LEED Gold certified, featuring a high-efficiency HVAC system, solar panel system and electric vehicle charging stations.
