Construction Junior Estimator
This position is responsible for planning and executing the bid/proposal process, identifying value engineering opportunities and building our network or valued trade partners.
Responsibilities
​

Read and thoroughly understand plans and specifications with the ability to create detailed scopes of work for each trade of work.

Ability to perform quantity and unit take-offs to validate sub-contractor proposals and as required to produce schematic budgets.
-
Prepare bid packages for distribution to subcontractors.
-
Identifying potential subcontractors and analyze and level subcontractor’s quotations.
-
Clarify bid documents and issue RFI’s.
-
Draft proposal documents for review and approval by ownership.
-
Provide value engineering cost savings options for consideration by our clients.
-
Coordination with client representatives, architects, engineers, construction managers, and consultants to establish project requirements, budget, specifications, and schedules.
-
Collaboration with project management team.
-
Maintain & build trade partner relationships.
-
Provide & maintain master cost database.
Requirements
​
-
4-year (BS) degree in engineering, architecture, and/or construction management or equivalent
-
3 years of “ground up” and “interior” general construction estimating/project management experience with a proven record of success.

A positive attitude and desire to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Capable of working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
-
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project.
-
Strong communication and analytical skills.
-
Must be a self-starter and able to prioritize.

Utilize value engineering and sustainable design concepts to improve value and efficiency for our clients.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Knowledge of Building Connected, Procore, BlueBeam and OnScreen TakeOff
Site Superintendent
Stone Creek Construction Group is looking to add Site Superintendents to our growing team. We perform General Construction & Construction Management in several verticals including: industrial , hospitality, multi family, automotive, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, office tenant fit outs, research & development, retail and medical.
Responsibilities:

Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of subcontractors to drive construction progress, ensure quality control and maintain a safe and clean job site.

Develop and implement project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones and inspections.
-
Identify and address issues or lack of scope during pre-construction phase.
-
Participate in development in final review of scope, buy-out, and schedule.
-
Supervise subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with contract.
-
Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors.
-
Manage owner, landlord, city/state procedural requirements to avoid project delays and ensure project safety and client satisfaction.

Conduct routine quality control inspections.
-
Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free work environment through own actions and mentoring others.

Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants and preferences.

Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.

Supervise punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner allowing.

Manage in house crews when required.

Manage company owned tools and equipment.

Commercial Carpenter
Stone Creek Construction Group is seeking a skilled Commercial Carpenter for multiple projects in New Jersey.
Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
-
Ability to perform metal stud framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceiling layout and installation, doors/hardware/ millwork installation.
-
Well rounded general construction knowledge for punch list completion required
-
Perform material takeoffs as needed for self-performed work.
-
Supervise trades as needed under the direction of the Superintendent.
-
Supervise/train labor and carpenters as needed.
-
Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines.

Manage company tools and equipment on projects

Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications:
​

5+ years of professional carpentry experience required.
-
Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and general construction.
-
Must have a Valid Driver License & reliable transportation.
-
Must have general tools to perform carpentry.
-
Must be able to work off-hours, nights and weekend if required.
-
Must be a strong communicator and have prioritization skills.
-
Computer skills and knowledge of Procore a plus.
